The 2025-2026 National Budget was passed on 18th June 2025. Overall, appropriated expenditure has increased by 2.3 percent, or $1.57 million from last year. These modest increases in expenditure reflect the increases in personnel spending, being balanced by anticipated reduction in power generation costs as the solar power generation increases over the coming year. Like last year, this budget incorporates $3.5 million in prioritized capital investment items. This is an important component that contributes towards improving asset management and planning.
